This lunchtime session will look at the topic of Covid-19 streets - how cities are adjusting their streets and public realm to physical distancing requirements and the opportunity this provides for permanent rebalancing of public space in favour of pedestrians and cyclists. The session will include contributions from two speakers: Cllr Jon Burke, Hackney Council, London and Ben Van Bruggen, Manager of Urban Design Strategy Team at Auckland City Council, NZ and is chaired by Biljana Savic, Director,The Academy of Urbanism.
