Tom Watts is Head of Design at Design & Crafts Council Ireland where he leads on Irish Design

Week, now an internationally recognised event which runs throughout the country each

November. With core themes of diversity, inclusion and circular design principles, Irish Design Week promotes and platforms the best of contemporary Irish Design and Craft on an international stage. 

Now in its fourth year, it continues to attract major international speakers and encourages collaborations with other nations through design diplomacy. Last year’s programme included architecture and featured internationally renowned architects Mariam Issoufou and Lesley Lokko. 

Tom will contribute as the rapporteur for the Helsinki: Vision and Masterplanning session on Wednesday 26 March.
