Michele Babuder was born in Trieste and graduated in law from the University of Bologna.

He coordinated project groups in the field of logistics and transport services, and was responsible for human resources at Jumbo Grandi Eventi SpA, Turin. As a freelancer, he conceived and implemented promotional initiatives for public bodies and territorial agencies and organized sporting events. Since 2008 he has been responsible for the institutional activities’ office of the CRTrieste Foundation.

He currently holds the position of Councillor of the Municipality of Trieste with responsibility for Territorial Policies (Road and Private Buildings, Public Green Space, Street Furnishings, Fountains and Monuments, Environment, Public Lighting, Urban Hygiene).

Michele will be speaking as part of the European City Exemplars session on Wednesday 29 May.
