I have been the Bursar of Darwin College in the University of Cambridge since December 2014 with responsibility for the College’s finances and properties, combined with a general operational oversight role. Darwin is a postgraduate-only college home to some six hundred students from seventy countries. I chair the intercollegiate Bursars’ Sustainability Sub-Committee and am a member of the University’s Council, Planning and Resources Committee, and Environmental Sustainability Strategy Committee. At the College level I have led on the development of our estate decarbonisation plan, and on the interventions now being undertaken to implement this.
Prior to joining Darwin I was a practising lawyer, with experience in corporate finance, corporate and charity governance, and management. Throughout my career I have sought to make a contribution to our community in various voluntary and charitable positions, including as Chair, and Chair of the Budlings Committee, of the Stephen Perse Foundation an independent school based in central Cambridge. I am a resident of Cambridge.
Graham will speak as part of the A University City: Anchor institutions as placemakers session on Friday 23 June.
