Frank is a cultural producer and arts educator based in Galway and trained as an architect at London Metropolitan University in UK. His professional practice includes the design of buildings & set design. With a long-term interest in the critical potential of design he established ‘Architecture at the Edge’, (AATE) in 2017, a Galway based not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the promotion of architecture as culture, for which he has since been its director.
His work marked by a long-standing commitment to making architecture more open and accessible, create platforms to empower a learned society to help shape the quality of the built environment.
He is a regular speaker and moderator on contemporary architecture and design, and its connection to society and wider culture.
AATE has been the recipient of awards from the Thornton Education Trust in recent years, and is an associate member of the of LINA, the new European architecture platform co-funded by the Creative Europe initiative of the European Union.
