Dr Therese Conway is Assistant Professor in the School of Geography, Archaeology and Irish Studies at the University of Galway. She is the Director of the SCSI and RICS accredited MA in Planning and Development at the University.
Therese teaches specialist planning and tourism modules at BA and MA level and supervises a number of MA and PhD projects.
Her research and teaching interests engage with spatial planning, and tourism planning and development. Therese also has a particular interest in community and youth engagement in the planning process, and received an Irish Planning Institute award for this work in 2023.
Therese will be a panelist in the European Planning Exemplars session on Wednesday 29 May and will be the rapporteur in the Irish Emerging Solutions: Planning session on Thursday 30 May.
