Chris is a Chartered Surveyor & Director of Leasing & Asset Management at LandSec, leading on some of the largest regional developments in the UK, with responsibility for a pipeline of circa 3.5 million square feet, across design, delivery, marketing, leasing, valuation & sales.
In Greater Manchester, Landsec are developing the masterplans for Mayfield in Manchester city centre and MediaCity in Salford. At Mayfield, Landsec will be commencing construction of two workspace buildings and a multi-storey car park shortly, adding to the 6.5 acre Mayfield Park already in place.
Chris graduated in property from the University of Salford in 2001, during which he completed a placement year in office agency, and then trained at Bruntwood in Asset Management. He then joined office specialists, Canning O’Neill, & later became Senior Leasing Manager at MEPC on Birchwood Business Park, home to the UK’s nuclear cluster.
In 2015, Chris joined urban regeneration developer, Allied London, as Director of Spinningfields, Manchester’s financial & legal office district. Chris was promoted to Group Property Director & was part of a team that delivered award winning office projects, including; The XYZ Building, One Spinningfields, The Ivy in The Pavilion, a 200,000 square foot pre-let to Booking.com at Manchester Goods Yard & launching Department, the company’s managed workspace business.
In 2019, Chris joined North-West based developer, Peel L&P, as Property Director of MediaCity, the prolific creative hub in Salford, producing & exporting media content worldwide. Here, he led a team responsible for leasing, asset management & operation of the built estate, progressing the future master plan around the studios facility & expanding the managed workspace business across MediaCity.
LandSec acquired a 75% share of MediaCity & the Mayfield district in Manchester in 2021 and Chris joined LandSec shortly afterwards to focus on both projects.
