Arno Goossens

Arno Goossens is a strategic city planner for the city of Amersfoort. During the last 18 years he has been involved in formulating many of the major policy developments in the city regarding structural planning. Recently he finished the establishment of the municipal vision on the development of Amersfoort. Arno has also been the strategic advisor for several key development areas that have shaped Amersfoort these last two decades. He has a masters degree in City Development and in Biology. Next to his work as a strategic planner he works also as a sculptor.

In 2023 Amersfoort was awarded the Urbanism Award for European City of the Year.

Arno will be speaking as part of the European Neighbourhood Exemplars session on Wednesday 29 May.
