Join the AoU Scotland’s new monthly book club, where we explore critical ideas shaping our cities.
Held every quarter, this is a space for built environment enthusiasts and otherwise curious minds to engage in thought-provoking discussions on urban life, design, and justice.
Our first session is on Thursday 19 June, featuring Rebel Cities: From the Right to the City to the Urban Revolution by David Harvey - a deep dive into capitalism’s impact on urban spaces and grassroots movements for change. At the next one (date tbc) we’ll discuss What if Women Designed the City by May East, examining gender-inclusive urbanism. Further suggestions are welcome, and we will hammer out a long-list as the sessions group.
Whether you're a seasoned professional or just starting to explore urban studies, all are welcome. Happy summer reading!
Rebel Cities: From the Right to the City to the Urban Revolution is published by Verso Books.
