Comms and Events Planner
Connie joined the Academy of Urbanism in April 2022 from the Urban Design Group. Prior to that, she held an assortment of creative roles and worked in Spain and Chile fresh out of school instead of going to university.
At the AoU Connie manages comms and works across all events. She joined just in time for Congress 2022: Cities Overcoming Challenges in Belfast, and later that year orchestrated the Urbanism Awards Ceremony + Learning from Europe on London City Island. Her key projects include overseeing the Urbanism Awards programme and working with the editorial team on the Here & Now e-journal, which underwent a makeover in January 2024.
Additionally, her day-to-day highlights of life at the AoU are the people and the international outreach.
Away from the AoU she can generally be found at the theatre, cooking for loved ones, or walking a journey most people would use TfL for.
