About the Academy of Urbanism
The Academy of Urbanism (AoU) was founded in 2006 to bring together individuals working in the many disciplines and areas across the built environment sector. The AoU’s central ethos is that of learning from place, sharing knowledge and best practice which we achieve through a programme of activities including site visits, discussion forums, and talks from renowned and emerging thinkers, leaders, and practitioners.
About the role
Our small, friendly team is looking for maternity cover for the role of Membership Coordinator, starting in March 2025. The role is to act as the main contact for member enquiries, develop and execute strategies to retain and recruit new members, and support the Exec Team generally.
The core tasks of the Membership Coordinator are to manage the AoU’s membership database, field enquiries, work with the Finance Manager on issuing and chasing invoices, assist with AoU events and activities such as Congress in Utrecht, and support the Young Urbanist network.
The successful candidate for this post will ideally be a conscientious, organised independent worker, with initiative and effective communication skills. Experience in database and project management, and ability to manage a varied workload within a small team are essential. Please download the job description using the button below.
